No More Santa Either??

TIME TO VOICE YOUR OPINION: Santa Claus (also known as Patrick Farmer) at Santa Claus House in North Pole, Alaska, on Nov. 18, 2009, holds letters from children sent this year that the U.S. Postal Service says it will no longer deliver.  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34038036/

It would appear as if the U.S. Postal Service feels they have sound cause.   Last year, a postal worker in Maryland recognized an Operation Santa volunteer as a registered sex offender. The postal worker interceded before the individual could answer a child's letter, but the Postal Service viewed the episode as a big enough scare to tighten rules in such programs nationwide.  Have they never heard of background checks?  It sounds a little strange that Santa would need to do a background check.  My guess is he still believes everyone is genuinely good at heart.  This is obviously no longer the case.

But then again, how many parents even tell their children about Santa anymore?  Two years ago I was told by a young lady that she refuses to tell her son about Santa.  She wants him to know, at two, the struggles parents go through to make sure his day is happy.  Do you really think at two the child had a clue what mom was talking about?  How many children this year alone are now living in tents somewhere wondering how Santa will even find them?

These are the hardest times this country has seen in decades.  Without Santa to believe in, what are we supposed to hope for/believe in?? The Government already got rid of God for us!
